Reusable identity verification for banks, funds and law firms — prove who you are once, then share it. I joined a founding team of six as the only designer, with no design process and product decisions being made daily, and left as Head of Product & Design.

The platform every Southern Cross health claim is assessed in: 300 screens, at end of life, rebuild already in flight and no designer on it when I joined. I built the design process into the programme rather than asking for one. Two more design roles were funded before I left.
When one business buys another, the telco services have to move with it. Nearly 30% of business customers left rather than complete the transfer. Two businesses had been sharing one printed form. The brief was to digitise it. I argued the form wasn't the problem. One of several projects across two years there.

About
I came to product design from animation. A Graduate Diploma in Animation Film Design from the National Institute of Design gave me a sense of timing experiences — surfacing information at the moment someone can use it. That's still the part I find interesting: systems that are hard to see all at once, and working out what someone needs to know, and when.
I enjoy cooking. Niki Segnit, Samin Nosrat and Yotam Ottolenghi are the ones I read, more for how they think about food as material than for what to make.
I have a daughter who is not quite two. Watching her work out how things fit together is the best part of my days, and it has quietly changed how I think about people meeting something for the first time.
